A interstellar object landed on earth in 2014. The earliest confirmed interstellar object was Oumuamua. However, US Space command declassified data that shows another interstellar object landed on earth. This interstellar meteorite, CNEOS 2014-01-08 discovered by Amir Siraj and Avi Loeb of Harvard, is unusual because instead of the normal nature of a meteorite having on flash upon entry into earth's atmosphere, this object had three distinct bright flashes. Furthermore other data shows that the object must be made of metal and not rock or any other substance. This unusual nature of the object has lead to questions about its composition, what type of metal it could be, iron? Or something else. Now that the meteor that crashed into the Pacific was confirmed to be interstellar by secret government data. Harvard astronomer Avi Loeb and Amir Siraj want to recover it.
